She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Çankaya University, Ankara where she has been a faculty member since 2004. She has a Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial Design, Middle East Technical University (METU) for a thesis on ‘Multi-attitudinal approaches of colour perception: Construing eleven basic colours by repertory grid technique’, completed in 2013. She was a visiting scholar in Colour Laboratory (LABCOR: EXPER-CHROMA) of Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon for her post-doctoral research between September 2015-February 2017, granted by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). She is also a member of Colour and Light Research Group of LABCOR of FAUL. In addition to her academic researches and publications in several international journals and conferences, she has participated international colour workshops held by NCS Colour Academy of NCS Colour AB in Stockholm, Sweden. She is also a NCS Colour Advisor and she has participated in the design and architectural projects as a colour designer. Her research interests include; colour theory, colour perception, colour psychology, colour education, colour harmony, colour design and planning, design education, Natural Colour System (NCS), interior architecture, industrial design, personal construct psychology, repertory grid technique, semantic differential.
