Veronica Conte
Verónica Conte é investigadora em Cor, (investigadora efectiva no Centro de Investigação em Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Design, Faculdade de Arquitectura, Universidade de Lisboa, desde 2015) (Palavras-chave: cor, co-design, ações participativas, espaço público e capacitação), Verónica desenvolve também trabalho enquanto artista e arquitecta paisagista. O seu trabalho é transdisciplinar, pela forma como atravessa e alimenta os diversos domínios da sua investigação, científica e artística, em torno da cor, das emoções, da escuta-colaboração com pessoas, paisagem e espaço público. É doutorada em Design (tendo sido bolseira da FCT entre 2010-2014), mestre em Cor na Arquitetura (2003-2006) e licenciada em Arquitectura Paisagista (1995-2002).
Verónica Conte is a researcher in Colour, (effective research member of CIAUD Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon), artist and landscape architect. Her work is trans-disciplinary in the way she crosses and feeds the several domains of her scientific and artistic research, mainly focused on colour, people, emotions and public space, or landscape. She holds a PhD in Design (2014), a Master’s in Colour in Architecture (2006), and a degree in Landscape Architecture (2002).

2015. Artist residency for “ViverCor Corabitando/ Livecolour Colourinhabiting” Participatory Action in Ruinha, a street in the historic centre of Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal. Co-financed by FEDR/ INAlentejo 2007-2013 / QREN (National Strategic Reference Framework) the Municipality of Montemor-o-Novo, and Oficinas do Convento NGOD. This action followed the steps below:
07-2015. Opening Party, walking through the 12 painted façades, listening to the stories behind them and ending on the street with Cante Alentejano (local songs World Immaterial Heritage by UNESCO).
06-2015. Publication of an article in the magazine “Mesa Posta/ Table Set" edited by the ONGD – Oficinas do Convento, which proposes an “Observation Path” in Montemor-o-Novo to observe graffiti and other decorative elements, calling attention to the Ornamental Heritage.
02-2015. Prototype painting after project approval by the IGESPAR - Institute for the Management of the Architectonic and Archaeological Heritage, due to Ruinha’s location in the historic centre. The paintings were done with the Scouts Group of Monetmor-o-Novo among other collaborators from the city inhabitants.
01-2015. Public presentation of the action ViverCor Corabitando, in the Parish House Nossa Senhora da Vila, do Bispo e Silvairas. A debate around the concept for the Participatory Action and an introduction about the uses of Colour in Public Space around the world was made.

12-11-2012. "Vamos mais longe/Let’s go Farther On" Bus Stop Collective Painting in São Cristóvão, where we painted inhabitants’ proposals for actions to be developed in São Cristóvão, in the near future. Celebration of the Action Livecolour Colourinhabiting 1st anniversary.
07-07-2012. Opening Party, walking through the 19 painted façades, listening to the stories behind them and ending with a public discussion, in the Parish House of São Cristóvão. The event was filmed and broadcast by the SICNews Portuguese TV Channel.
14-04-2012 to 20-04-2012 Exhibition “ViverCor Corabitando" in the Parish House Gallery of São Cristóvão, where a presentation and public discussion about the proposed drawings to be painted on the façades took place.
12-11-2011 Public presentation of the action ViverCor Corabitando, in the Parish House of São Cristóvão. A debate around the concept for the Participatory Action and an introduction about the uses of Colour and Public Space around the world was made.
11-2011. Prototype painting, with a recovering of the front façade of the house next to the Church of São Cristóvão. During this activity an interview for TVi24 Portuguese TV channel was made and broadcasted.
