Filipa Santos

Filipa Santos é Arquitecta, Consultora de Cor e Investigadora, residente em Barcelona. Iniciou a sua carreira no país de origem – Portugal, a elaborar, essencialmente, projectos ferroviários. Em 2007, aceitou uma colocação na Royal HaskoningDHV, uma multinacional de Engenharia e Consultoria nos Países Baixos, onde participou em diversos projectos multidisciplinares que abrangem as áreas da Saúde, Desporto, Indústria, Imóveis Comerciais e Infra-estruturas. Em 2013, e ainda na mesma empresa, Filipa passou um breve período a trabalhar na Indonésia e um período mais alargado a aperfeiçoar as suas habilidades no Médio Oriente, tendo regressado à Europa em 2016. Os seus projectos estão espalhados pela Europa, Sudeste Asiático,Médio Oriente e Norte de África.

O mestrado em Cor na Arquitectura habilitou-a com uma especialização no campo da Arquitectura de Interiores, onde o seu trabalho consistia no desenvolvimento de projectos desde o estudo prévio até ao projecto de execução, escolha de materiais, implementação do conceito de espaços de trabalho inovadores (hetnieuwewerken), design de mobiliário, identidade corporativa e direcção de projectos. Este percurso levou-a a desenvolver vários planos de cor para interiores, mas também para espaços exteriores. A Academia de Engenharia, em Delft, foi distinguida com o prémio de Melhor Edifício Educacional Sustentável nos Países Baixos em 2012, e o Parque de Estacionamento Subterrâneo, em Katwijk-aan-Zee, recebeu a aclamação dos profissionais da área e diversos prémios, designadamente, o Melhor Edifício de 2016 dos Países Baixos, atribuído pela BNA (Instituto Real dos Arquitectos dos Países Baixos).

No âmbito da investigação, Filipa iniciou a sua actividade com a dissertação Mutações de Ambientes através da Luz e da Cor, sob a orientação do Professor Catedrático Rui Barreiros Duarte no âmbito do Mestrado Cor na Arquitectura, na Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. Destaca-se, ainda, o reforço desta investigação na Utrecht GraduateSchoolof Visual Art and Design na Holanda sob a orientação do Professor Doutor Klaas Hoek. Filipa é membro fundador da Associação Portuguesa da Cor, membro da Stichting Kleurenvisie (Fundação para os Estudos da Cor) nos Países Baixos, colaboradora do LabCor e membro do Grupo de Investigação de Cor e Luz da Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade de Lisboa, e tem participado em diversos projectos de investigação a nível nacional e internacional.

Zélia Simões

Biografia

Aluna de Doutoramento em Arquitectura, especialidade de teoria e prática de projecto, da Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade de Lisboa. Licenciada em Arquitectura pela Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias de Lisboa, frequentou o 5º ano na Universität Gesamthochschule Kassel ao abrigo do Programa Erasmus – Sócrates.

Realizou o Mestrado em Cor na Arquitectura na Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa com a dissertação intitulada “A cor e a natureza como metáforas na poética da materialidade”. Durante este período de investigação, frequentou parte do Programa do Master of Arts in Fine Art na Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht.

Membro Fundador da Associação Portuguesa da Cor e autora de diversas publicações científicas tem colaborado, organizado e participado em reuniões científicas nacionais e internacionais, assim como, tem exercido a actividade de docente em cursos de Licenciatura, Pós-Graduação, Mestrado e Doutoramento de Design, Arquitectura e Urbanismo.

Actualmente é investigadora colaboradora do CIAUD e integra o “Grupo de Investigação de Cor e Luz”, “Design and Computation Group” e o “Grupo de Investigação Urbanidades Emergentes”. Está activamente envolvida no Laboratório de Digitalização 3D e Laboratório da Cor (Módulo Exper*Croma). Exerce Arquitectura na DSA – Architects International (Europe).

Interesses de Investigação: Cor e Luz, Espaço Urbano e Arquitetónico, Sentidos e (I) materialidade, Saúde e Conforto, Transdisciplinaridade e Interdisciplinaridade.

Biography

PhD Student of Architecture, speciality of design theory and practice, at Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa. Graduated in Architecture at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias de Lisboa, attended the 5th year at Universität Gesamthochschule Kassel under the Erasmus - Socrates Programme.

Accomplished the Master of Colour in Architecture at Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa with the dissertation title "Colour and nature as metaphors in the poetics of materiality". During this research period attended to part of the Master of Arts in Fine Art Programme at Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht.

Founding Member of the Associação Portuguesa da Cor and author of several scientific publications has been collaborating, organizing and participating in national and international scientific meetings, as well as, teaching in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Master's and PhD’s Degree Courses in Design, Architecture and Urbanism.

Nowadays, is collaborator researcher at CIAUD and is member of the "Colour and Light Research Group", "Design and Computation Group" and the "Emerging Urbanities Research Group". She is actively involved in the 3D Scanning Laboratory and Colour Laboratory (Module Exper*Chroma). Practise Architecture at DSA - Architects International (Europe).

Research Interests: Colour and Light, Urban and Architectural Space, Senses and (I) materiality, Health and Comfort, Transdisciplinarity and Interdisciplinarity.

Orazio De Vita

Orazio De Vita is a Junior Designer from Naples that recently graduated in Design and Communication. He has an hybrid but complete education: he is, in fact, able both to design and communicate his projects thanks to his studies, completed both as a student at the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design Luigi Vanvitelli of the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli,
and as a Researcher at the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade de Lisboa. At the moment he has several active projects and some more in the making.

Orazio De Vita è un giovane designer napoletano, neolaureato in Design e Comunicazione. Veronica Conte

 Verónica Conte é investigadora em Cor, (investigadora efectiva no Centro de Investigação em Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Design, Faculdade de Arquitectura, Universidade de Lisboa, desde 2015) (Palavras-chave: cor, co-design, ações participativas, espaço público e capacitação), Verónica desenvolve também trabalho enquanto artista e arquitecta paisagista. O seu trabalho é transdisciplinar, pela forma como atravessa e alimenta os diversos domínios da sua investigação, científica e artística, em torno da cor, das emoções, da escuta-colaboração com pessoas, paisagem e espaço público. É doutorada em Design (tendo sido bolseira da FCT entre 2010-2014), mestre em Cor na Arquitetura (2003-2006) e licenciada em Arquitectura Paisagista (1995-2002).

Verónica Conte is a researcher in Colour, (effective research member of CIAUD Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon), artist and landscape architect. Her work is trans-disciplinary in the way she crosses and feeds the several domains of her scientific and artistic research, mainly focused on colour, people, emotions and public space, or landscape. She holds a PhD in Design (2014), a Master’s in Colour in Architecture (2006), and a degree in Landscape Architecture (2002).

2015. Artist residency for “ViverCor Corabitando/ Livecolour Colourinhabiting” Participatory Action in Ruinha, a street in the historic centre of Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal. Co-financed by FEDR/ INAlentejo 2007-2013 / QREN (National Strategic Reference Framework) the Municipality of Montemor-o-Novo, and Oficinas do Convento NGOD. This action followed the steps below:

07-2015. Opening Party, walking through the 12 painted façades, listening to the stories behind them and ending on the street with Cante Alentejano (local songs World Immaterial Heritage by UNESCO).

06-2015. Publication of an article in the magazine “Mesa Posta/ Table Set" edited by the ONGD – Oficinas do Convento, which proposes an “Observation Path” in Montemor-o-Novo to observe graffiti and other decorative elements, calling attention to the Ornamental Heritage.

02-2015. Prototype painting after project approval by the IGESPAR - Institute for the Management of the Architectonic and Archaeological Heritage, due to Ruinha’s location in the historic centre. The paintings were done with the Scouts Group of Monetmor-o-Novo among other collaborators from the city inhabitants.

01-2015. Public presentation of the action ViverCor Corabitando, in the Parish House Nossa Senhora da Vila, do Bispo e Silvairas. A debate around the concept for the Participatory Action and an introduction about the uses of Colour in Public Space around the world was made.

08-07-2013. Guided tour "A aldeia das Pinturas/ The Painted Village", São Cristóvão. Included on the program "Dias Tranquilos/ Quiet Days" promoted by the Tourism Office from the Municipality of Montemor-o-Novo.

12-11-2012. "Vamos mais longe/Let’s go Farther On" Bus Stop Collective Painting in São Cristóvão, where we painted inhabitants’ proposals for actions to be developed in São Cristóvão, in the near future. Celebration of the Action Livecolour Colourinhabiting 1st anniversary.

07-07-2012. Opening Party, walking through the 19 painted façades, listening to the stories behind them and ending with a public discussion, in the Parish House of São Cristóvão. The event was filmed and broadcast by the SICNews Portuguese TV Channel.

14-04-2012 to 20-04-2012 Exhibition “ViverCor Corabitando" in the Parish House Gallery of São Cristóvão, where a presentation and public discussion about the proposed drawings to be painted on the façades took place.

12-11-2011 Public presentation of the action ViverCor Corabitando, in the Parish House of São Cristóvão. A debate around the concept for the Participatory Action and an introduction about the uses of Colour and Public Space around the world was made.

11-2011. Prototype painting, with a recovering of the front façade of the house next to the Church of São Cristóvão. During this activity an interview for TVi24 Portuguese TV channel was made and broadcasted.
