DESCRITIVO:
Considerando a relevância da construção do espaço por quem o habita, a presente investigação foca-se em acções participativas de pintura em fachadas residenciais, nomeadamente sobre os seus processos, benefícios e expressão no espaço público. Enquadrada no âmbito do Co-Design, a questão de investigação retoma o fulcro das preocupações deste, bem como de valores para um desenvolvimento sustentável integral: podem intervenções/acções participativas, de pintura em fachadas residenciais atender à realização de necessidades ou potencialidades humanas, bem como possibilitar uma oportunidade de desenvolvimento pessoal a quem nelas participa?
Adoptada uma linha teórico-prática transdisciplinar, deu-se início a uma pesquisa, exploratória não intervencionista, com o estudo de seis casos na cidade de Buenos Aires, Argentina, recorrendo a pesquisa de campo, e entrevistas feitas impulsionadores e especialistas. Com o objectivo de testar e ampliar o conhecimento adquirido durante a primeira fase de pesquisa, realizou-se uma investigação acção na aldeia de São Cristóvão, Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal. A partir desta experiência intitulada ViverCor Corabitando, foi possível concluir que acções participativas de pintura em fachadas residenciais são um potencial satisfator múltiplo de necessidades humanas, com maior relevância na realização da participação e da identidade, individual e colectiva.

Considering the importance of the construction of the space by its inhabitants, the research hereby presented is focused on participatory action regarding the painting of residential façades, namely, its processes, and its expression in the public space. Falling within the ambit of Co-Design, the question posed by this research adopts the basic tenets of Design, and is underpinned by the values for integral sustainable development of individuals and society: can house façade painting interventions/participatory action attend to the satisfaction of human needs, as well as provide an opportunity for the personal development of the participants?
Following a theoretical-practical transdisciplinary line, we started with six case-studies in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, through non-interventionist exploratory research undertaken by field observation, interviews with project drivers and specialists. With the purpose of testing and expanding the knowledge acquired during the first stage of research, an action research was undertaken in the village of São Cristóvão, Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal. Through this process - ViverCor Corabitando - it was possible to conclude that participatory action in residential façades has shown itself to be a potential multiple satisfier of human needs, particularly in regard to the satisfaction of participation as well as individual and communitarian identity.

TITULO: Colors in Lisbon Subway – Colours associations: criteria analysis

DESCRITIVO:

The underground lines of Lisbon, each one defined by a colour, run under the Portuguese capital surface. Each station displays a story artistically manifested. There, it´s possible to discover languages that use tiles and colors to tell stories. The surrounding speeches, that go with who is traveling, with who is waiting and who walks, in different stations, have been patented in photographs. Here the expose of the photographic record of those subterranean spaces is proposed, accompanied by ideas, semantic relations and sensations that emerged genuinely when traveling and going past to such routes and stations. The readings and descriptions of the stations do not pretend to be definitive affirmations, instead, they pretend to express ideas and suggestions which sprang up in a "foreigner", who usually prefers to travel on land, and who in Lisbon was marveled not only by the city, but also by its underground. On the subways of Lisbon different worlds are told, in each station concepts and climates were shaped: the drawings, the stories and the colours that are there account for this. Literally and poetically the stations of the subway accompany many daily journeys, and in this case also inspired this journey of written letters.

Las líneas subterráneas del metro de Lisboa, cada una definida por un color, recorren bajo la superficie a la capital portuguesa. Cada estación despliega una historia manifestada artísticamente. Allí se descubren lenguajes que utilizan azulejos y colores para relatar historias. Los discursos circundantes, que rodean a quién viaja, a quién espera y a quién anda, en las distintas estaciones, han sido patentados en fotografías. Aquí se propone la exposición del relevamiento fotográfico de aquellos espacios subterráneos, acompañado de ideas, de relaciones semánticas y de sensaciones emergentes, que surgieron genuinamente al transitar a dichos recorridos y estaciones. Las lecturas y descripciones de las estaciones no pretenden ser afirmaciones definitivas, en cambio pretenden exponer recorridos emocionales e ideas, que brotaron en una “extranjera”, que usualmente prefiere viajar sobre la tierra, y que en Lisboa se maravilló, no sólo de la ciudad, sino también de sus subterráneos. En los subtes de Lisboa se cuentan mundos, en cada estación se plasmaron conceptos y climas; de ello dan cuenta los dibujos, las historias, y los colores. Literal y poéticamente las estaciones del metro acompañan a muchos viajes a diario, y en este caso incluso también inspiraron a este viaje de letras escritas.

TITULO: Salas de Terapia em Ambientes de Escola

DESCRITIVO: A presente investigação almeja a criação de guias de orientação para a construção de salas de terapia em ambiente escolar. As escolas inclusivas providenciam espaços para as terapias existentes nas mesmas. Espaços que na maioria dos casos não são pensados para as funções que vão cumprir, mas são antes adaptados para rentabilizarem o seu funcionamento.

A investigação da cor surge com o estudo de caso de salas Snoezelen (Forbrain e Centro Helen Keller), procura entender a importância que a cor tem no espaço terapêutico, quais os seus benefícios para a terapia, a influência que tem nos utilizadores da sala, de que forma pode transformar o espaço terapêutico, entre outras coisas. Para tal foram realizados estudos de caso a sala Snoezelen da Forbrain (sala aberta ao público e a escolas) onde decorrem vários tipos de terapia e o estudo de caso de adaptação de um espaço para futura sala Snoezelen no Centro Helen Keller (com proposta de projeto de sala).

TITULO: Textiles and colors - Brief historical review in various textile cultures

DESCRITIVO:

A historical view of the textile cultures around the world let us read the relationship between their conditions and their productions. The type of fibers, dyes and textiles that were used and emerged at different places revealed correlations between geographies and availability, social conceptions and their productions, and mutual influences. Thus, legacies have been highlighted, and cultural trends have been shaped. The analysis focused on the geographical points that manipulated the textile materials, where textile cultures were developed. Textiles tell about societies and their points of view, ways of being and doing; this can be read in the materials, in the ornament tendencies (motifs), and in the use of colours. The materials refer to the availability and to the chores of society. The tendencies of the motifs speak about a symbolic language. And the use of colours in textiles, besides demonstrating technical knowledge of dye affinities, shows the character of a society at a certain time. The objective of this writing is to point out a line of observation and sensitivity to the textile language; make visible that we live surrounded by fabrics and that we reflect the colours and light we carry.

Un recorrido histórico de las culturas textiles alrededor del mundo deja leer la relación entre sus condiciones y sus producciones. El tipo de fibras, los colorantes y los productos textiles que se usaron y surgieron en los diferentes sitios, revelaron correlaciones entre geografías y disponibilidades, concepciones sociales y sus producciones, e influencias mutuas. Así, se han destacado legados y se han conformado tendencias culturales. El análisis puso el foco en los puntos geográficos que manipularon a los materiales textiles, destacándose como culturas textiles. Los textiles cuentan de las sociedades y sus modos de ver, de ser y de hacer; eso puede leerse en los materiales empleados, en las tendencias de los motivos y en el uso de los coloridos. Los materiales referencian a las disponibilidades y a los quehaceres de la sociedad. Las tendencias de los motivos hablan de un lenguaje simbólico; y el uso de los coloridos en los textiles, además de evidenciar conocimientos técnicos de afinidades tintóreas, muestra el carácter de una sociedad en un momento. El objetivo del escrito es despertar una línea de observación y una sensibilidad hacia el lenguaje textil; hacer visible que vivimos rodeados de telas, y reflejamos los colores y la luz que portamos.
