In this context, colour an Islamic Art and Architecture have an indissociable connection. They are not only used profoundly, but also aim to be an embodying of the complex significances echoed by the creation. Tileworks, immersive atmospheres, geometric patterns and other art forms that so greatly describe Islamic architecture, are made manifest through colour itself. Together Architecture and Art through colour, reflect deep spiritual attitudes and profound universal wisdoms, creating a sense of union, integration and of an otherworldliness. Unravelling these connections, between the underlying spirituality of the space and the use of colour, is the main focus of the research.
